DECCOM (Pvt) Ltd was pleased to be represented at the Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS) Congress 2026, held from 21st to 25th August 2026 at Cinnamon Life, City of Dreams, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The PAQS Congress is a prominent international gathering of quantity surveying and built-environment professionals, bringing together industry practitioners, academics, researchers and professional institutions from across the Asia-Pacific region. The 2026 Congress was held under the theme “Constructing the Evolution: Unleashing the Human Intelligence”, with discussions covering construction practices, commercial and cost management, digital transformation, sustainability, procurement, construction law and the future of the built environment.
Representing DECCOM, Mr. G. Dulshan Dhanitha, Managing Director, and Ms. Amani Dias, Chief Operating Officer, participated in the Congress, engaging with industry professionals and gaining insights into emerging practices and developments shaping the construction and quantity surveying professions.
A significant highlight was the presentation by Ms. Amani Dias of her research paper titled “A Framework for Total Quality Management in Sri Lankan Building Construction Projects” during the PAQS 2026 Conference. The research focuses on strengthening Total Quality Management practices within Sri Lanka’s building construction sector and contributes to the wider discussion on improving quality, performance and project delivery within the industry.
Participation in international professional forums such as PAQS reflects DECCOM’s commitment to continuous professional development, knowledge sharing and the adoption of contemporary industry practices.
